Do I need a referral? No referral is necessary to consult with our men’s health physiotherapists. Many patients will have a referral although it is not necessary.

Can I claim a rebate from my private health fund? If you have a private health insurance policy covering physiotherapy, you will be able to claim a rebate from your health fund. For details regarding rebate amounts you should contact your private health fund.

I have been provided with an Enhanced Primary Health Plan from my doctor. Can this be used to see a men’s health physiotherapist? Yes. You will need to forward your receipt to Medicare following your appointment for any eligible rebate. The misconception with Enhanced Primary Care is that physiotherapy is bulk-billed. This is inaccurate and normal rates apply.

How long are your appointments? For an initial consultation, please allow 45-50 minutes. For any subsequent appointment, please allow 25-30 minutes.

Are the physiotherapists male? Yes, our men’s health physiotherapists are male.

Are partners welcome to attend appointments? This is entirely up to the patient themselves. We understand that many conditions which we see impact on the partners of our patients and as such we welcome partners to attend appointments.
